Guangdong Breath Test Engineering Technology Research Center was established in September 2017 by the Science and Technology Department of Guangdong Province. It is the first engineering center specializing in the research of breath test technology in China. It is jointly built by Shenzhen University, Shenzhen Xianya Biotechnology Co., Ltd and Shenzhen Sinonuclear Haidowei Biotechnology Co., Ltd. At present, the Center has 12 research and development personnel, including 9 with doctor's degree, 3 with high level talents from Shenzhen and overseas, mainly specialising in nuclear technology application research and development of biological medicine and medical devices. The Center is the integration of the isotope labeling and measurement technology, chemical analysis technology, sensor technology, electronics technology, software analysis and pattern recognition technology, animal testing, pharmacy, clinical medicine, such as multi-disciplinary engineering technology platform, promote more breath test research results into breath test products. Existing large equipment includes: gas chromatography-mass spectrometry, carbon isotope analyzer, liquid scintillation counter, water vapor isotope analyzer, high performance liquid chromatograph, high performance electronic nose and red blood cell life analyzer, etc. Since its establishment, the center was  awarded the "outstanding contribution award" nuclear technology application by China isotope and radiation industry association, its red blood cell life breath test instrument was awarded as "China medical equipment innovation entrepreneurship competition third prize", won the honorable mention prize in the finals "the seventh China innovation entrepreneurship competition", won the honorable mention prize in the final "the 10th shenzhen innovation entrepreneurship competition". The center has applied for a number of domestic and foreign patents and published more than 10 high-level papers.
