报告摘要:Owing to the special advantages of two-photon excitation in life science, two-photon excitation photodynamic therapy (2PE-PDT) has drawn lots of attention as alternative candidate of cancer treatment in recent years. Development in material science for photosensitizer with dramatically enhanced therapeutic efficacy under two-photon excitation is of vital importance to clinical application of this cancer treatment. Employment of nanotechnology in 2PE-PDT will overcome most of the limitations of photosensitizer in conventional PDT. Conjugated polymer and gold nanorods are excellent materials to fabricate nano-sized photosensitizer with great 2PE-PDT therapeutic outcome for their large two-photon absorption cross section, great optical stability and good biocompatibility. This talk will introduce nanomaterials with enhanced two-photon excitation efficiency for two-photon photodynamic therapeutic and two-photon imaging applications by using conjugated polymer and metal nanoparticles.
